Pixel-based tracking is considered one of the simplest way to track conversions for your offers. Affiliate Networks that want to quickly set up and promote their offers often choose pixel tracking because it saves them a lot of time in integration with advertisers and affiliates.

Pixel tracking will place a cookie in the users browser when a click is occurred and will call back the cookie again on conversion situation to authenticate the conversion. The conversion information can all be extracted from that cookie and saved in Conversion Report.

Setting Pixel-based Tracking for Your Offer

To set pixel tracking for your offer, please follow the steps: Offer Details Page > Conversion Protocol > Image Pixel or iFrame Pixel

After select the Image Pixel (or iFrame Pixel), click Update button, then the page will turn back as below:

When your affiliate submits his Postback URL/Pixel for you to approve, it must be consistent with the Offer Postback URL/Pixel. For example, if one offer is based on Image Pixel tracking, then your affiliate can ONLY create Image Pixel for this offer. However your affiliate are able to submit three global conversion protocols for all offers, Postback URL, Image Pixel, iFrame Pixel. And the same applies to manually creating affiliate Postback URL/Pixel.

Enforce Conversion Protocol

When Enforce Conversion Protocol is enabled, only the conversions passed back via default Offer Conversion Protocol will be accepted and those passed back via two other protocols will be rejected and saved in server log.

For example, If one offer is based on Image Pixel tracking, then only the conversions passed back via Image Pixel will be accepted. If the conversions are passed back via iFrame Pixel or Postback URL, they will be rejected and saved in server log.

When Enforce Conversions Protocol is disabled, theoretically advertiser are able to pass back one conversion via the three conversions protocols, but only the first arrived conversion will be counted on Offerslook platform, and the other two latter arrived conversions will be rejected and saved in Server Log to avoid repeated conversions.
